Butale Mixed Primary school, a partner school of IRFF in the Masaka district, Uganda, has come 3rd place out of all the district’s P7 classes.
The result is a testament to the hard work of the staff and children at the school and we would like to congratulate them on their achievement. The school was featured in the local news. The results were 14 First Grade, 70 Second Grade, 0 Fourth grade, 0 Ungraded, and 0 Absent grade. Well done!
IRFF has been supporting Butale Mixed Primary school over the past several years with some infrastructure development and a WAIT Jr club. Most recently IRFF provided support for a borehole to be built at the school grounds, making water readily available for the children during class hours, and allowing the local community to access water close to their homes. This means the pupils would no longer need to walk several kilometers before and after school to fetch water, which would make them tired during school time.
