New Borehole installed at Butale Primary

We are so delighted to report to you about the successful completion of the borehole providing clean water at Butale mixed primary school and the local community. We can now irrigate crops, maintain a nursery for tree plants, watering a few classes that are not cemented to reduce the breeding of jiggers, and cooking is made easier. Children no longer risk their lives walking long distances fetching water from the well!

As the borehole was installed, we also repaired the community borehole which needed maintenance in order to reduce the excessive use of the new borehole. Mr. John, the chairman, on behalf of his community, appreciated the huge support offered to the repaired community borehole which serves the local people with safe drinking water.

Thank you to all who donated to support this project. If you feel inspired you can still donate to IRFF UK here!
