What is period poverty?
Period poverty prevents millions of girls worldwide from attending school due to a lack of basic menstrual hygiene products. In South Africa, drought conditions make reusable products impractical, leaving disposable sanitary pads as the only option.
How we’re making a difference
Providing pads: Monthly funding of £180 supplies disposable sanitary pads.
Education and support: A dedicated nurse teaches menstrual hygiene and offers emotional support.
Empowering education: Girls can continue attending school with confidence and dignity.
